about

The website has grown out of a little widget I built for the KDE desktop called “liquidweather”. However, due to the march of progress, the platform upon which liquidweather was built was overtaken by a newer, shinier widget platform, and despite still being the most downloaded entry on kde-look.org (448,000 odd), liquidweather is pretty much dead – R.I.P.

However, in the course of developing liquidweather, I have managed to collect together a large number of weather iconsets that were used in conjunction with liquidweather. So, I thought, given the large number of platforms that now support widget-like weather micro-apps, I’d make these iconsets available here. You’ll find over 20 complete sets of weather icons on this site. All of the iconsets have over 40 icons and have been labelled to coincide with the naming regime of the weather.com website. However, obviously, these can be renamed to suit the naming scheme of other weather sites/feeds.
